From the East/Northeast: (Mahtomedi, Oakdale, Lake Elmo, Stillwater etc)
Highway 36 from the east is still OPEN all the way up to the Century/120 intersection. Come into downtown North St Paul by jogging south on Century/120 from 36 then turning west at the Stoplight on the corner of Seventh St and Century in North St Paul (just a couple blocks south of 36; look for Anchor Bank at that stoplight). Take 7th a few blocks west to Margaret Street stoplight (the center of downtown North St Paul) and then head a block north back toward 36 the Snowman and BrightWines.

From the East/Southeast: (Woodbury, Oakdale, or points further southeast)
Highway 36 is still OPEN all the way up to the Century/120 intersection so you can take 694 to 36 like you are used to, then come in through downtown North St Paul on Seventh like I described above. One fun little trick that I use to shave off a few minutes coming from this part of town is to take Highway 5 from 694 into Oakdale. Highway 5 ends (at a T) on Century/120 just a few blocks south of North St Paul. Jog north on Century/120 up to either the stoplight at 40th (look for the Holiday station on your left) and take that west for a block to the stop-sign which is actually Margaret Street. A few blocks north on Margaret and you are at my shop. Or just take Century/120 all the way up to the stoplight at Seventh, either way works fine. Actually nearly every west/east road from Century begiinning at Holloway on up will connect with Margaret.

From the South: (3M Center, I- 94 in St Paul/Maplewood/Oakdale area)
Take either McKnight or Century/120 northwards for a few miles. If you take McKnight you will want to turn onto Seventh at the stoplight in North St Paul (south of Hwy 36) and they have even created a special turn lane for that. Go up the hill on Seventh, then down the hill to downtown North St Paul on Seventh. Go north on Margaret to BrightWines and the Snowman. If you take Century/120 just follow the route above from Oakdale. Note: McKnight will not take you north of 36 at this time, you will have to turn at South/7th/Cty B.

From the West or North: (694/35E area, Minneapolis, Roseville, Maplewood, White Bear, St Paul, etc)
This is where you have to deal with the detour the most. My best advice from the due west is to get off Highway 36 at White Bear Ave (the posted detour) and go south 2 stoplights to County Rd B and then head eastward again. This is the official detour, and will take you onto Seventh in North St Paul after you go up the hill on B after McKnight. The turn onto Seventh is a goofy 5-way stopsign intersection, so you will turn toward 10 o’clock rather than a perfect left. OR if you are coming more from directly north use White Bear Ave or Century to come south of 36; then head into downtown North St Paul to Margaret Street using the same routes as I have listed above.

With ALL of these routes, just keep heading toward the snowman! You will find BrightWines relatively easily that way.
